The Opportunity

As a market leader in energy generation and distribution, Naturgy wanted to anticipate the EV revolution. They began offering and testing an EV recharge solution to give themselves a head-start towards the future, when EV will become mainstream.

The Challenge

To design, develop and launch an EV recharge solution for 66.5% of Spanish people living in apartment buildings.

The Solution

An all-inclusive, simple, and personalized EV recharge service for apartment building parking. The services include technical assessment, full installation, charger renting, maintenance, and energy supply.

The Approach

/ FROM A STICKY NOTE TO A DEVELOPED CONCEPT

Starting from a high-level idea on an ideation workshop, “E.V. recharge service for people living in community buildings,” we did fast and targeted research and used the information gathered to precisely define the concept of the service, including its corresponding business model.

/ VALIDATION AND REFINEMENT

We codesigned with the client and developed two prototypes: a landing page and a commercial offer. Both had the same main goals– to better explain the service and its value proposition. We executed 6 interviews with final users and apartment building administrators to understand what worked, what didn’t, and what they were missing.

/ DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF PILOT TOOLS

We designed and developed a landing page where potential users could get information and request a budget; an information brochure to deliver in E.V. dealerships; an advertising billboard to place in apartment buildings; a personalized commercial offer to send to existing clients; and an invoice sample to help the clients understand the service.

Impact

The service is currently being offered in the client’s official website, and it is expected to generate increasing profits as the EV ecosystem continues to grow.
