ROLE DESCRIPTION

This position will be the first addition to the MarComms department and therefore, must have multiple strengths and skills to support the Global MarComms Director, not just as a specialist but as a leader. There will be room for growth as the department expands, and this position is key to the long-term success of the MarComms teams and propelland itself.

This role will be based out of Mexico, Colombia or Latam Region preferably.

As Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of propelland’s marketing, social media, branding, thought leadership, and communication activities.

This role will play a critical part in coming up with strategies for effective production and implementation of niche-based marketing efforts that enhances engagement and exposure, and that moves potential clients through the sales cycle.

The Marketing Communications Specialist role involves upholding company brand across various channels such as the social media and websites by working with the marketing communications team to create the relevant content.

Last but not least, the Marketing Communications Specialist also entails researching information for writing blog articles; social media posts; curate articles for collateral such as case studies and white papers.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Assist in marketing plan preparation, including effective monitoring and maintenance of company’s marketing budget and application
  • Create and maintain consistent propelland’s brand/image voice across events, and promotional materials, and throughout company teams/departments
  • Research information to create original, error free, clear, and concise copy for website content, thought leadership articles and/or other intelligence content, promotional materials, blog entry, and newsletter that ensures compelling and effective communication
  • Produce search engine friendly content that apply relevant metadata, backlinks, and keywords
  • Supervise operations of company’s website on a daily basis, and also perform analytics reviews
  • Plan promotional and advertising communications projects from the beginning, including the approval stage, to completion, and working with various internal teams, including graphic designers
  • Carry out execution of promotional and educational videos, from concept development, script creation, production supervision and final amplification
  • Organization of communications for industry-specific events, such us conferences and trade shows, and production of targeted email campaigns
  • Create relevant reports on marketing programs, including post-event and/or campaign reports, regular status reports, and analysis
  • Supervise the design, production, and distribution of collateral and promotional materials to aid company’s sales and marketing programs
  • Responsible for all company interactions on the social media, including responding to messages, creating messages, and uploading photos
  • Apply various social media tactics in creating brand awareness and generating inbound traffic that strengthens company’s social media presence
  • Apply various digital analytics and media tracking tools to generate reports on progress of work on the social media
  • Put in place measures for recording success in marketing and communications efforts beyond social media; gather result data and produce reports for the management team
  • Assist in hiring contractors, including copywriters, advertising and marketing agencies, and external consultants; and serve as a liaison with contractors
  • Coordinate company’s involvement in the activities of community organizations

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 year’s experience working in Marketing Communications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish. Excellent writing and speaking skills in both are a MUST! You’ll be interviewed and tested in both languages
  • Experience with various advertising campaigns, including B2B and B2C
  • Experience working with WordPress and other web content management tools
  • Good knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics tools
  • Expertise in the use of HubSport and other email marketing software
  • Ability to work effectively with MS Office package
  • Strong experience with social media marketing campaign
  • Excellent presentation skills
