ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an Industrial Designer Senior you will contribute to shape the future by leading and supporting the designing of products, services and new businesses, applying the design process end to end: discovery-design-prototyping, you will bring ideas to life prototyping amazing projects that will improve people’s lives through design and technology. You apply your creativity and diverse range of design experience to explore solutions to a variety of problems. With a user-centric approach, you will tackle the design and prototyping phases of projects to bring to life digital and physical products that will have a positive impact in people’s lives You work collaboratively, long life learner, proactive, creative, engaged, optimistic, progressive, open-minded and resourceful that seeks inspiration, empowerment, and the challenge to bring ideas that add value to life in an agile way.

• Collaborate with our team throughout the full design process to build solutions that you feel genuinely proud of.
• Thrive in a fast-paced studio across a variety of consulting work.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the design process:
  • Discovery: Conducting primary and secondary research to gather insights, translating insights into areas of opportunity.
  • Design: Designing concepts to visualize the ideas, creating prototypes that demonstrate the experience to validate with users, and refining concepts into higher levels of fidelity.
  • Prototyping: Building functional prototypes to share back with our client partners and eventually working with partners to bring the service, product, or experience to life.
• Actively participate and help in the experience prototyping process, which includes researching potential technologies and developing working prototypes – both physical and digital – in collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Demonstrate and test prototypes and completed applications.
• Provide clients and internal departments with end-user support.
• Balance client and user needs to develop products that are viable and desirable.
• Build strong relationships with our existing clients and identify new clients in growing industries.
• Adapt to new challenges like a pro.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND MINDSET

• Degree in industrial design, product design, or a related design field. 
• 5+ years of industrial design experience. 
• A portfolio that reflects your strengths in industrial design, visual communication skills, and in creating strong user experiences. 

• Experience in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and technical constraints into desirable products with a strong consideration of user experience. 
• Expertise across industrial design, including concept sketching and development, CAD modeling and rendering, prototyping and fabrication, and general knowledge of design for manufacturing. 
• Extensive experience with CAD software like Rhinoceros or Fusion 360, visualization tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, and rapid prototyping technologies like 3D printing, laser cutting, or CNC milling. 
• Strong motivation to improve in your role, in your work, and in how you work together as a team through learning new skills and applying feedback. 
• Mastery of communication skills, and the ability to deliver compelling design rationales in both client and internal contexts. 

• Ability to lead projects and design teams to success, and to engage directly with our clients. 
• Ability to think beyond physical products and develop concepts that are strategically positioned and can work across digital and physical touchpoints and platforms.
